Dragons, Comics, Stories and Age

I'm not very sure from where these people take their information, but I just decided to take the test and see what would happen and it turns out that...

I am A Celestial Dragon!

Hey, I took the http://dragonhame.com online Inner Dragon quiz and found out I am a Celestial Dragon on the inside.

In the war between good and evil, Celestial Dragons take the side of the noble and good...

When it comes to the powers of Chaos vs. those of Law and Order, your inner dragon is a risk taker and answers to no one...

As far as magical tendencies, Magical spells come as natural to the Celestial Dragon as breathe from it's body...

During combat situations, whether by spells or by claw, your inner dragon will do whatever it takes to get the job done...

The Celestial Dragon is a large dragon species, and is covered with perfectly mirrored scales. It roams the skies and has been seen both during the day and at night time. This dragon does not speak, but communicates by thought alone.'

Celestial Dragon's are solitary in nature. Often these dragons seem to act without rhyme or reason. The are very benevolent in nature, but at the same time they are totally unpredictable.'

The dragons are kind and merciful, and will often offer their aid to mortals when they can see that they are needed. Celestial Dragon's earn their name from their visual appearance. When lading at night or in the daytime, it appears as if part of the sky has materialized into the form of a dragon.'

This Dragons favorite elements are: Calcite and Good Fortune

On another topic...

So, "Ozy and Millie" has been going on for a few years and I just decided to sit back and read through an archive of 7 years and about 3 months. To be honest I had come across this comic
before and checked it a couple of times, but having missed the back story I just didn't enjoy it as much as I do now. It has some very good puns, story arcs and surprises! Extremely recommended. Between that one and "Kevin and Kell" that makes two comics that have been around for a while now and only recently did I discover or take time to read.

On that note, ever since reading "Kevin and Kell" I have just found all "domestication" jokes damn funny in ways you puny non-furries out there can not comprehend! Unless you read that one, that is. Heh.

I wonder how many more are out there that I have just missed? Hopefully with good management that won't happen to the one I'm working on. ^_^

Books!

So I have a few books still to read on my shelf, but for some reason the one I am supposed to read for Monday just doesn't appeal to me. "Swallows and Amazons" by Arthur Ransome. I just can't get into it! The first page alone bores me. Of course I have to find the willpower to actually dedicate some time to this or I won't be able to give some actual feedback during the lecture, but... heck, it bores the hell out of me in two pages. I think the most amusing thing
of the book is that one of the girls is named "Titty" of course this book was written in the 1930's and it was from the memories of the author's childhood while trapped in a farm for the summer with his family. Okay, so 'trapped' is an exaggeration, but anyway, I find it utterly uninteresting. No doubt some of my classmates will like it, but as for myself, I could certainly do without it.
Problem is, if I want to learn why we actually need to read this book I will have to finish it. Sigh.

On another note, making the DVD for Wednesday this week is not going as smoothly as I had hoped! Damn the aspect ratio for NTSC DVD format and mediocre avi2mpeg converters! And I have such a cool menu designed already!

Well, let's just hope I can finish it on Tuesday...

Writing...

I'm still suffering from a writer's... block just doesn't seem to cover it, but it is similar. Hopefully I can write down that part I owe Firehedgehog before she comes to England and kills me!

Older!

So now I am a year older. 25. A quarter of a century. Oh, well. Life goes on, I guess. People keep asking me what would I like for a present. I don't know! I honestly don't think about that kind of thing! It's not that I don't care about Birthdays, but... I don't! It is a measure of time, and true changes come when we make them happen, not when someone says "Oh, it's new year!" or "You were born on this date." Okay, so, when I was born, besides the stars shuddering in
fear and the earth trembling in anticipation of what will inevitably come to happen, I did change someone's life, for better or worse and it was a change for me... but I don't feel any different from yesterday (maybe a little more hungry) and I certainly don't think I will feel any different tomorrow unless I grow wings or something.

In fact, age is nothing more than psychological torture! People feel that time has already caught up with them and they have less time now when they grow older. Welcome to earth! If you feel you have wasted your time when you hit a certain number of years then I can honestly say you have no busyness living anyway.

Things...

Q Score is: 10

Primary Mythical Creature

Air Types

The main strength of the Air types is intellect. The second element indicates the most probable focus for this intellectual activity.

Unicorn

Air with Water

Astrologically associated with Gemini and the Third House

Unicorn types are very concerned with the communication of ideas. They are witty and likeable but can also be quite shy. They are easily bored and easily distracted, and may seem unpredictable and superficial for this reason. Actually they are very deep and are usually trying to find the connections between the people and things around them. They are highly imaginative but not very practical. They love knowledge for its own sake and are not concerned about putting it to use. They are socially astute and sensitive to others’ feelings, but may still appear somewhat aloof. They are drawn to grand schemes for unifying people but these often don’t extend beyond the initial idea. Very logical and rational, Unicorn types are also unconventional and even bizarre. Other people may regard them as fey or just strange.

Shadow Creature

Earth Types

All the Earth types have problems relating to productivity and stability. The weakest element indicates the main focus of these problems.

Wodwose

Earth and Fire

This shadow is beset by inertia and a feeling of hopelessness and stagnation. They are prone to depression linked to apparently insuperable odds. They exhibit an attitude of defeat that is betrayed by their fatalism and pessimism. They often find themselves trapped in a rut of grinding routine. They have no energy or sense of direction. They often alienate others because of their negativity and narrow outlook and because they feel anger and resentment toward them. Passive aggression is used to good effect. They are self-neglectful of their physical needs although they may binge on unhealthy foods and substances. The biggest obstacle of weak Fire is to overcome anger and aggression; the biggest obstacle of weak Earth is to overcome self-centeredness and greed.

Short one...

The Powerpuff Girls… Rule. Simply, honestly… RULE.

Favorite Episodes:

  1. Curses
  2. The Powerpuff Girls Best Rainy Day Adventure Ever
  3. ‘twas the Fight Before Christmas

Worst Powerpuff Girl Episode Ever: “A Made Up Story”

Who the hell thought up that one? A guy called Chris Reccardi.

Heck, all characters were completely OOC! For a moment there, I thought the whole episode was a “Made up Story” by one of the girls… exaggerating. A lot. I think the only salvageable part was when Mask Scara met Him and didn’t know what to do… but come on! 20 minutes of bad jokes, pad puns, OOC and lame story… not to mention that apparently this guy LOVES the narrator. Granted, in the PPG the narrator is a character of sorts, but like any character in TV, overuse is DEATH (the bad kind). This episode as the Worst Ever is followed up CLOSELY (meaning I have yet to decide which is worse) by “West in Pieces” by… Chris Reccardi!

The jokes are SUPPOSSED to be well thought! What is the use of silly jokes in these obviously filler episodes if the rest of the series has so many Inter-textual references? Did we have… any? NO! I am sorry, Chris, but PPG is NOT your area. I mean, the only decent thing he produced was “City of Clipsville” which was really nothing more than a patch up of old eps and scenes taken out of Fanfics. YES, FANFICS! I like fanfics. I write a few myself. HOWEVER, taking clips from those and calling them an episode... sigh. (As a side note, this guy also wrote the Ren and Stimpy episodes: “Hard Times for Haggis” and “Hermit Ren” which I have no idea if they are good, since I am not a R&S fan, but if you are, you might tell me if you liked those.)

Anyway, found a very, very cool furry comic called “Kevin & Kell.” It has been running for a long time, and has some pretty good jokes in it which I don’t see why you non-furries out there might not enjoy. So, here’s the link: http://www.kevinandkell.com

Try it, it’s good, it’ll just take a little time to get to read the whole thing.
